Storks Nest Charity Fund of Dallas

The Stork's Nest Charity Fund of Dallas (SNCFD), a 501(c)3 charitable organization, is an organization through which community outreach endeavors are made.  It is the charitable arm of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Kappa Zeta Chapter in Dallas, TX.  More specifically the charity is involved in the granting of scholarships, the development of youth enrichment projects and the carrying out of community volunteerism efforts.  These volunteer efforts not only offer services to the local communities in the Dallas area but also assist other not-for-profit organizations with reaching their goals to improve and empower our communities.

Our Mission
To provide educational resources and services to individuals in the Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) area counties as it relates to community outreach, scholarships and health services.

The SNCFD contributes significantly to the DFW area counties and communities through outreach services and scholarships. Our community partners are involved in the services of Health, Education and Resources (H.E.R.) by awarding scholarships and resources for community based projects that educate our community with resources, health issues (prevention and intervention) and the economic development of those we serve.

One aspect of the SNCFD is the Stork's Nest Education Program - a cooperative program between The March of Dimes and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. This program has both service and educational components. The service is the establishment of a distribution site, the "Nest," where expectant mothers, referred by cooperating hospitals, clinics, and health centers, can get necessary items such as maternity clothes, layettes and furniture at minimal or no cost. The educational component consists of seven sessions covering prenatal care, nutrition, drugs, alcohol and smoking, genetics, infant care and parenting.

Another aspect of the SNCFD is the Miss Blue Revue Scholarship Program. Blue Revue is a comprehensive scholarship program for female high school juniors and seniors that focuses on etiquette, community service, and college preparation.

See our website at www.sncfd.org for more information about SNCFD and also upcoming events and programs.
