Building Our Brotherhood at Iowa State
These young men above are the reason Delta Upsilon exists. They are our new initiates this school year and the future of DU. At one time, you were in a picture like this. Your experience with Delta Upsilon was just beginning. Think back to how you matured at 117 Ash and the relationships you built that continue today. Our Four Founding Principles have guided Delta Upsilon since 1834. Brothers before us started DU at Iowa State in 1913. They built 117 Ash as our home in 1931. We benefitted. Now it is our turn to pass on the gift of Delta Upsilon.
Your past support for 117 Ash and the Colonnades has helped our chapter be recognized six consectutive years as a top DU chapter in the country. However, we still have work to do in assisting the current chapter of 85 men as they continue to build on our already strong brotherhood. Your donation will help the Colonnades fund the following events:
- Undergraduate Scholarship
- Homecoming alumni and undergraduate tailgate
- Escape to 117 Ash alumni and undergraduate weekend
- Open Visor Newsletter
Additionally, your donation helps to fund undergraduate costs to attend these Delta Upsilon International training events:
- President’s Academy
- DU Global Service Initiative in Jamaica
- Regional Leadership Academy
- DU Emerging Leaders Experience
- Leadership Institute
