A campaign by Humanists of Linn County

Science in the Schools Fundraiser 2022

Please help us to raise our goal of $1,000 for this year's Science in the Schools grant.

Recognizing the importance of science and science education, the Humanists of Linn County (HLC) established the annual Science in the Schools grant in 2016. Last year the grant was awarded to Polk Alternative Education Center, Cedar Rapids Community School District.

The Science in the Schools grant provides science equipment up to $1,000 to middle schools or high schools wishing to expand their science opportunities for students. The HLC Science in the Schools grant was created to support science education in public schools in the community. Enhancing science curricula is part of our mission to promote and support secular education and lives where science, reason, critical thinking and compassion leads to personal fulfillment.
