Dear Sisters,
It is with great pride that we, as House Corporation, are anchoring the Bronze, Pink & GU (Gamma Upsilon) Campaign!
As we were preparing this letter, we were reminiscing about the chapter house and all things DG -Monday night dinners, door songs, Hippodrome practice, initiation, Mom McKay, Mom Jerry, Momma Linda, Homecoming floats and displays, bridge parties, bageling and so much more! The common theme we all agreed on was how many of these memories involved the chapter houses.
Enclosed you will find information detailing the planned renovations to update our home at Wichita State on Omega Court which is 45 years old!
A few of the major projects we are facing:
- The parking lot is original from when the house was built in 1977 and is in dire need of replacement with additional parking (est. $60,000)
- There are several dead trees that need to come down before they fall on the house (est. $1,500)
- The exterior of the house needs siding repair and paint (est. $8,000) as well as gutter covers (est. $1,500)
- The windows of the house need to be replaced ($10,000)
- The back deck has foundation issues and needs to be removed (est. $2,500) and replaced (est. $5,000)
- The Chapter room in the basement is screaming for attention: new lights, flooring, and paint (est. $7,500)
The memories and relationships Delta Gamma provided us are special and we want to ensure the legacy that the Alpha Tau Sigmas started, continues. Think back to your time as a collegian, whether it was on sorority row, the existing house on Omega Court, or on another campus, we can all agree that the chapter house was the anchor of our sisterhood. This campaign is our opportunity to ensure that future members have a chance to make lasting memories and develop lifelong friendships, just like we did.
