     Memo: Staff Christmas Bonus


Greetings,

The purpose of this letter is to encourage you to give toward the annual “Staff Christmas Bonus,” which the Alumni Association funds. Our goal every year is to raise enough funds to cover a bonus that is equivalent to one week’s pay for each staff member.

When Jeni and I stop to think of how instrumental the college has been in our lives and in our church, we are filled with a sense of obligation to show our gratitude through this avenue of the Alumni Association.  Since our most profound moments of growth while at the college can be attached to a staff member’s investment, we believe it’s appropriate to lead our church to give generously toward the Christmas bonuses.

We are writing you to ask if you would join us.  There’s no way the load of this offering can be carried by a few people or a few churches. But if we can all give something, I’m confident God will bless our sacrifice and generosity. As you know, this year has been hard on the college with the rise of Covid-19.  We might be tempted to take a step back in our giving because it’s been hard on us, too. But if I remember the times in the Bible in which God used generous giving the most, it was times when the giver gave out of a place of need, not abundance.  Let’s join together to make this year's Christmas bonus a reality!
