Desserts with DG is back and in person this year!! After raising almost $12,000 for Service for Sight last year, we are hoping to surpass that number this year! As a chapter, we decided to this year partner with and donate to the Texas Tech Therapeutic Riding Center as well as our main philanthropy. The center helps a variety of clients including children and veterans who have experienced vision loss. If you are able to contribute any donation in support of our mission to DO GOOD, it would be greatly appreciated!!

Desserts with DG 2021

Hello and welcome from tthe sisters of the Gamma Xi chapter of Delta Gamma at Texas Tech! We are so excited to be hosting "Desserts with DG" in person at our lodge on Monday September 27th from 7-9pm!

Desserts with DG is our anual fall philanthropy event that has grown in popularity over the years. Sisters gather together to homemake thousands of yummy desserts for our guests!

Last year, we hosted the event drive throughe style. We were blown away by the turnout! Through many gracious donors online and at the event, we were able to raise just shy of $12,000!

Will you join in our attempt to raise $14,000?

If you happen to be in Lubbock, we would love to see you at our event. Guests can purchase a bag fulll of desserts for $5. If you are unable to make it in person, we hope you will consider donating online!

"Do Good," our motto since 1873, was penned by our Founders even before the letters Delta and Gamma were chosen. This motto is alive and well in 2021.

Our VISION is to greatly impact the lives of people who are blind or visually impaired. We also look to benefit our members through life enriching educational opportunities, as well as merit and need-based scholarships and graduate fellowships.

Since 1936, our national philanthropy has been Service for Sight. Delta Gammas across the United States and Canada fundraise and volunteer their time (approximately 120,000 hours per year) to assist those who are blind or visually impaired. Four schools for children who are blind or visually impaired have been established by Delta Gammas and continue to thrive to this day. Donations from our fundraising events also assist in the area of grants to organizations which share our Service for Sight mission. We are making a difference!
