This is one of our most popular fundraising events nationwide which supports our philanthropy, Service for Sight. Kaela Hymel and I are so excited to be coaching a team together to support all of the wonderful things that Delta Gamma does nationally and that our chapter does here at LSU! Here are a few of the things that we do here in Baton Rouge:

*Walking/driving visually impaired LSU students to and from class and various extracurricular activities
*Volunteering weekly and for special events at the Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired
*Being trained with the Lions Club to perform vision screenings at local schools to catch and prevent avoidable blindness in young children
*Actively raising awareness at LSU about visual impairments and the volume of people affected

Any donation you are able to make can do so much good for the visually impaired community, and Anchor Bowl wouldn't be a success without your generosity. Thank you so much!

Anchor Bowl 2019

Greetings from the sisters of Gamma Zeta chapter of Delta Gamma at Louisiana State University! We will be holding our Anchor Bowl on Sunday, October 6th, 2019.

We would like to thank you for your participation in our fundraiser benefitting the Delta Gamma Foundation.

Gamma Zeta chapter at Louisiana State University has been raising money and doing good on LSU's campus and for the Baton Rouge community since 1948. In the past year we raised over $80,000 for the Lousiana School for the Visually Impaired, a school we visit weekly, and Service for Sight. We need YOUR help to continue this amazing work.
"Do Good," our motto since 1873, was penned by our Founders even before the letters Delta and Gamma were chosen. This motto is alive and well in 2019.

Our VISION is to greatly impact the lives of people who are blind or visually impaired. We also look to benefit our members through life enriching educational opportunities, as well as merit and need-based scholarships and graduate fellowships.

Since 1936, our national philanthropy has been Service for Sight. Delta Gammas across the United States and Canada fundraise and volunteer their time (approximately 120,000 hours per year) to assist those who are blind or visually impaired. Four schools for children who are blind or visually impaired have been established by Delta Gammas and continue to thrive to this day. Donations from our fundraising events also assist in the area of grants to organizations which share our Service for Sight mission. We are making a difference!
