As a proud member of Delta Gamma's Gamma Theta chapter at the University of Florida, I support the blind and visually impaired through our National Philanthropy, Service for Sight. Anchor Splash 2018

The Gamma Theta Chapter of Delta Gamma at the University of Florida welcomes your help in our efforts to support the blind and visually impaired!

Since 1936, our national philanthropy has been Service for Sight. Delta Gammas across the nation fundraise and volunteer their time (approximately 120,000 hours per year) to assist those who are blind or visually impaired. Five schools for children without sight have been begun by Delta Gammas and still exist to this day.

Our chapter's annual Spring Carnival and Easter egg hunt, through which we spend time with visually impaired children, as well as the relationship we've developed over many years with our blind friend, and often visitor, Lenora, has brought this cause close to each of our hearts.

We hope to truly make a difference in the lives of those affected by redoubling our efforts to make Anchor Splash, our annual philanthropy event, successful.

Anchor Splash is our largest fundraising event of the year. Each year the event is comprised of a synchronized swimming competition among student organizations as well as an Anchorman swimming race competition.

Anchor Splash will be held Sunday, October 7, 2018. Funds raised go directly to the Delta Gamma Foundation. The Foundation's vision is to greatly impact the lives of those in society who are blind or visually impaired. We have also been looking forward to benefiting our members through life enriching educational opportunities, as well as merit- and need-based scholarships and fellowships.

Do Good, our motto since 1873, was penned by our Founders before the letters Delta Gamma were even chosen. This motto is alive and well in 2018.

We more than welcome your participation in this fundraiser. Our main sources of income consist of donations, t-shirt and ticket sales, and sponsorships. Donations of ANY SIZE are welcome! Your gift makes a huge difference.
