Our philanthropy, Service for Sight, supports the five schools founded by Delta Gammas and other North American organizations that provide access and advocacy for people in the blind or visually impaired community or who promote sight preservation and conservation. This philanthropy has been at the heart of the Delta Gamma mission since 1936 when a member who was blind, Ruth Billow, Eta-Akron, petitioned to adopt “Aid to the Blind” as our official philanthropy.

Anchor Splash is a Signature Foundation Fundraiser of Delta Gamma collegians where fraternities, sororities and non-Greek organizations compete in pool and water-based competitions and games! It is one of the most recognized philanthropic fundraisers in the fraternity/sorority community today. Begun in 1966 at Beta Tau-Miami as a way to celebrate its 25th anniversary, Anchor Splash has spread to chapters across North America.

Anchor Splash 2022 - Epsilon Kappa

Epsilon Kappa DG's first annual Anchor Splash philanthropy event is being held on April 23rd, 2022 and will include outdoor water games in addition to pool deck performances by participating teams of eight people. We are so very excited to host this iconic fundraising event in support of the visually impaired community and Service for Sight!

Do good has been Delta Gamma’s timeless motto since the beginning. This charge continues in 2022 as we work to positively impact our campus and strengthen our community. We believe the pursuit of doing good is never done.

Delta Gammas advocate for a better world for people who are blind or visually impaired through our national philanthropy, Service for Sight. Our women across the United States and Canada fundraise and volunteer their time (approximately 120,000 hours per year) to advocate for and serve this marginalized community.

We educate about sight preservation and are dedicated to providing access and opportunity for people with visual impairments including five Delta Gamma Schools for Children with Visual Impairments founded by members of Delta Gamma. Donations from fundraising events support grants to organizations that share our Service for Sight mission.

In addition, Delta Gamma Foundation empowers our sisters to be motivated women of impact, to grow social responsibility and authentic leadership by funding exceptional training initiatives, and invests in the academic success of our women through scholarships and fellowships.
