Service for sight is very special to me personally because when I was 2 my mom was diagnosed with Choroidal Neovascularization, which is a serious condition that affects the blood vessels in her eyes. She is now completely blind in her left eye, and nearly lost vision in her right. We were very fortunate that her condition has not worsened over the years, but there are so many others who are living with serious visual impairments. Our mission at Delta Gamma is to help promote sight preservation and provide assistance to children and adults who are blind or visually impaired. I am excited that I have the opportunity to help make a difference in the lives of people like my mom, and I’d like to ask for your support. Any contribution you could make would mean the world to me, my DG sisters, and those who have a visual impairment! I hope you will consider donating to this great cause!

We have raised $180.00 of our $30.00 goal

The campaign has raised $10,557.50 towards the $2,000.00 goal

Texas Tech Univeristy
Desserts with DG 2020

Greetings from the sisters of the Gamma Xi chapter of Delta Gamma at Texas Tech!  We will be holding our drive though Desserts with DG philanthropy event on Monday September 21st, 2020.

We would like to thank you for your participation in our fundraiser benefitting the Delta Gamma Foundation.

Desserts with DG is a well known Delta Gamma philanthropy event hosted anuallly by many chapters across the country. In an effort to promote a safe event for all, we will be hosting the event drive tough style this year! Guests will be able to drive in front of our lodge and indiciate from thier cars what dessert items they woud like on thier plate. Dessert itmes will be indivdually paackaged. In an effort to promotne social distancing, only a hanful of members will be in attendance to pass out items while being fully equipped wearing masks and gloves.

"Do Good," our motto since 1873, was penned by our Founders even before the letters Delta and Gamma were chosen. This motto is alive and well in 2020.

Our VISION is to greatly impact the lives of people who are blind or visually impaired. We also look to benefit our members through life enriching educational opportunities, as well as merit and need-based scholarships and graduate fellowships.

Since 1936, our national philanthropy has been Service for Sight. Delta Gammas across the United States and Canada fundraise and volunteer their time (approximately 120,000 hours per year) to assist those who are blind or visually impaired. Four schools for children who are blind or visually impaired have been established by Delta Gammas and continue to thrive to this day.  Donations from our fundraising events also assist in the area of grants to organizations which share our Service for Sight mission. We are making a difference!

Please accept our gratitude in advance for any donation that you make. The Delta Gamma Foundation is, by law, a 501(c)(3) entity, and your gift is tax deductible in the United States. The Delta Gamma Foundation also accepts matching gifts for your tax deductible contribution.

Thank you and together we will “Do Good.”
