| SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS
Anchor Adventures
In the mood for an adventure? Whether you’re new to alumnae life or a seasoned member - this group has something for you. Join up for dine outs, trivia, happy hours and other fun happenings. A special adventure is planned for August at the Malibu Getty Museum to tour the exhibits and have “Tea by the Sea.” This group is chaired by one of our youngest members who is also an advisor for the UCI DG Chapter. Book Club
This unique Book Club meets every other month and is hosted in member’s homes. Discussion of the selected book is enhanced with food and ambiance inspired by the setting or story. Members in attendance all contribute to the shared meal. The summer read is: Maybe You Should Talk to Someone by Lori Gottlieb - a laugh-out-loud and transformative guided tour into the self. The next meeting is on 8/8/19. Read along with us -- or better yet -- join us!

DGs Out And About
If you like being “out and about,” seeing what’s new and having fun, this is the group for you. Art shows, movies, interesting places to see or to dine at -- and sisters to share it with. Come along and have something new and exciting to talk about. Contact: Lynn Johsz at JohszFmly@aol.com.
The Breakfast Club
Who doesn’t love breakfast? Take a moment for yourself and come to enjoy a casual hour or two on Saturday morning with your DG sisters. Just Breathe
Are the demands of your life getting to you? Are you looking for a way to do something good for yourself and your health? Meditate, relax and “Just Breathe” on the first Monday of every month from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Savor an herbal tea, de-stress, go through a self-guided meditation, journal for a few minutes and get centered. No experience required. Wear comfortable clothing. Bring a meditation pillow or mat if you have one and a journal for your own use. Contact: Helen Thies at hthies1873@gmail.com.
SPRING HIGHLIGHTS
Toga Party! Our end of the year Toga Party celebrated Greek goddesses and our wonderful outgoing officers. All attendees played the part by wearing togas, and flowers or crowns. A delicious Greek dinner was provided, and we installed our new officers. A great time was had by all!
Breakfast Club - We met for breakfast at Lynn’s in Huntington Beach.
Book Club - Our Book Club met in June at Carlita’s lovely waterfront home in Newport Beach. We discussed Where the Wind Leads by Vinh Chung. Everyone contributed to dinner (authentic Vietnamese cuisine). .png)
