As you begin to prepare for summer, I would suggest scheduling activities as a family. I have provided you with a link that gives over 100 suggestions on fun family activities to enjoy together this summer. Your kids will grow up fast, so I suggest spending time together while they are young to help create that important bond that they will need to rely on when they are pre-teens and young adults. PTA News
 We are planning our field day activities for next week and need your help! It's an outdoor celebration of another successful year, and the kids enjoy being outside, laughing alongside our PE teachers, parents, and teachers.
We will have 8 stations set up. Our PE teachers will be hosting 3, the American Heart Association jump rope station, 2 inflatables (a maze and an obstacle course), and 2 other games. We need help with set up, running booths, and clean up. Looking forward to a fun day out in the sun!!!

Please log on today with your student to take the heart healthy challenge and begin raising life-saving donations to help kids with special hearts. Our goal is to have 100% of our students take a challenge!

Step 1 - Take the challenge with your student by registering at Soleado Heart Hero.
• Drink water instead of soda and sugary beverages OR
• Exercise for 60 minutes a day OR
• Eat a fruit or vegetable with every meal
Step 2 - Make a donation online! Your student will earn Jax and Charger with one ONLINE donation!
Step 3 - Send emails or eCards to friends and family, asking them to take the challenge and make a life-saving donation (your student will get credit) to help people with special hearts.

It’s always a good idea to print this page and keep it for your records.  The Costume Closet is our very own gem on the hill. You can rent costumes for any occasion. It is run 100% by our district PTA and parents like you! Please consider working a few hours to help our school receive a "bonus check" at the end of the year. The minimum requirement is only 40 hours for our entire school for the year. Thank you to Jude Chang for spending a few hours there already! You even receive discount credits on rentals (5th Grade parents, they have Walk through the Revolution costumes)!!
