*En español debajo Hello Briarcrest Families! It was so nice to see everyone at the Open House and Ice Cream Social.
It’s hard to believe there are only a few more weeks of school left this year! We look forward to seeing you at the Science Carnival (June 11th from 11am-2pm) and at other fun events happening at the end of the year.
We have started planning for next year. If you haven’t yet, please take our Spring Survey to help us know what programs and activities you and your family are interested in for next year.

Science CarnivalJoin us June 11th from 11am- 2pm for our Science Carnival! We will have lots of outdoor stations with experiments to do and things to try, including: egg drop (from the roof or maybe higher!), rocket launching, paper airplanes, foil boats, bubbles, tower building, and so much more.
Members of several Shorecrest Clubs will be there with cool things to share. One of the Robotic teams that went to the state tournament will be there with their robots and have some that students can drive! Young Women in Bio will be there with an experiment you don’t want to miss! Several other clubs will be joining us too.
There will be hot dogs and other snacks available at the concession stand.

 Mariners TicketsLast call to join us Sunday, August 28th at 1:10pm for Briarcrest Elementary Summer Celebration at a Mariners vs Guardians baseball game! We extended ticket sales to June 8th. 300 view level tickets are $15 per person and half of total ticket sales support Briarcrest. No one loses at this game!
55 Briarcrest community members have already bought tickets! Will you join us?
Ticket purchase details: Checks can be made out to “Briarcrest PTA” – be sure to include your student(s) name and # of seats in the note field. Turn in clearly marked checks or cash with this form to your student’s teacher or to the office. Tickets will be delivered to families in plenty of time before the game.

P.S. - Did you hear the good news?? We raised a whopping $609.06 from our dine-out at Chipotle fundraiser on May 17th. That's about $200 more than we raised at Chipotle in the fall! We can see you are hungry to support our community; we are so thankful! Keep an eye out for more dine-out fundraisers next school year.
Art Docent Program 2022-2023 Art Docents are volunteers who assist in teaching 4 art lessons a year in the classroom. There are no set requirements or qualifications, just a willingness to learn and teach. You don’t have to be an artist to be an Art Docent! If you’d like more information or you are interested in participating please fill out this form.

It’s here! The Reflections theme for next year has been announced! The 2022 - 2023 Reflections theme is “Show your voice!” Get a head start on your submission this summer! Categories include: Dance, Music, Film, Photography, Literature, and Visual Arts.

 Little Free Pantry
Briarcrest PTA has adopted the Little Free Pantry located on the corner of 25th and 145th in the Shoreline United Methodist Church parking lot. Please drop off any non-perishable food donations or personal care items at the Little Free Pantry. There is also a box on the loading dock at Briarcrest to collect pantry donations.
The PTA is encouraging every grade to be responsible for stocking the pantry this month and remember to donate through the summer.

Carnaval de la ciencia¡Únase a nosotros el 11 de junio de 11 am a 2 pm para nuestro Carnaval de Ciencias! Pequeño desafío de despensa gratis
