It's almost time for school to begin. The Mantua ES PTA sends out a warm welcome to our new families and a welcome-back to our returning ones! Please take a few minutes to read about some upcoming calendar items and important notes.Help and Contributions Needed for Teacher/Staff Welcome Back Breakfast!
The Mantua PTA will host a Welcome Back Breakfast on Tuesday, August 27th at 9:00 a.m.
We need parents to help with:
* Set-up/clean-up
We need parents to bring:
* Juices
* Pre-cut bagels, muffins, pastries, croissants, and danish
* Fresh fruit (sliced melon, berries, grapes, etc.)
* Yogurts
* Cream cheese, butter/margarine, jelly
Please have your items delivered to the Mantua Cafeteria by 8:30 a.m. Bring your item in a dish that is disposable, and include a disposable serving utensil, if possible. If your item can't be in a disposable dish, please mark it carefully with your name. All unclaimed containers will be brought to the Office.
Please contact either Deanna Firth-Freemyer or Meri Farling to let us know if you can help out and what you will be bringing. Thank you!Open House: August 29th Mantua ES's Open House will be held on Thursday, August 29th. Doors open to the gym at 1:30 p.m. Come find out your student's teacher, join the PTA, and discover what is planned for the school year. Classrooms are open from 2:00-3:00 p.m. See you there! Be on the Lookout for our Member Planet Email! We have hired MemberPlanet.com, a secure group communication platform, to consolidate and simplify many of the services Mantua families and PTA members enjoy each year, such as: - Alert News (Mantua's weekly school and PTA e-newsletter),
- Mantua ES's printed PTA Student Directory,
- PTA membership drive,
- online registration and payment for enrichment and FLEX programs,
- volunteer signup, and
- Mantua ES's events calendar.

Remember: even if you do not plan to join the PTA, information collected and corrected on MemberPlanet will be shared with Mantua ES. Back to School Ice Cream & Pizza Social Come join your classmates and teachers after the first of school at Mantua's Back to School Ice Cream and Pizza Social! It will be held at the school playground on Tuesday, September 3rd from 5:30-7:30 p.m. You can buy tickets for $1 each and use them to buy ice cream sundaes and pizza (for $2) and water bottles and glow necklaces (for $2.) Open House Folder StuffingJoin us on Wednesday August 28th at 4:00 p.m. in the school cafeteria. It's a great way to socialize while preparing the student Open House folders.
