WVAFF Queen Social Media accounts:

Jocee now has official social media accounts so that you can follow her during the State Fair of West Virginia and the remainder of her reign. You can follow her by searching for "wvaffqueen" on Instagram and Snapchat.

You can also search for posts using the following hashtags and we encourage you (and your Queen) to use these throughout the year and during the Annual Convention:
  • #wvaff
  • #wvaffqueen
  • #wvaffpageant
  • #wvaffconvention
These accounts will be turned over to the new Queen on January 13, 2018 so that you can follow the 2018 WVAFF Queen throughout her reign.

Deadline update:

Your event must have paid their dues by August 20, 2017 for your Queen to be eligible for the 2018 Pageant. We have sent out payment reminders and still have not received some member dues as of this time. If you are not sure you have paid your dues, you need to check before that date.

Not sure if you have paid your dues for 2017? Navigate to the WVAFF website and look at the the two pages located under the "Member Info" link to see if your Event is listed on either page. We try to keep this current with incoming payments. If you are not listed, you need to inquire about your status with an email to wvafftech@gmail.com

Also, while you are viewing the page, if you see many of the fields for your Event are "NA" , then no one has supplied that info to us. To update that info, send an email to wvafftech@gmail with the needed changes.

Rule update and clarification:

Due to evolving status of Events, we have made a slight change to the language of the Pageant Rules in order to make it easier to understand.

Below are the changes that you should be aware of:
  • Fair or festival must be a current member, in good standing, of the WV Association of Fairs & Festivals for the full calendar year prior to entering a Queen in the WVAFF Pageant.
  • A fair or festival must be an organized entity, operating through a board of directors or committee, having activities in addition to a pageant, for two consecutive years prior to entering a Queen in the WVAFF Pageant.
  • Membership dues must have been paid on or before August 20, 2017 for a fair or festival to enter a Queen in the 2018 WVAFF Pageant.
 WVAFF on Instagram and Snapchat

You can also follow the WVAFF on Instagram @wvaff and on Snapchat @wvaffconvention and we will be using the same hashtags as the official Queen accounts.

 Hotel Codes

Visit the "Annual Convention" page on the WVAFF website to get information, codes and links that you can use to receive your group discount on lodging during the Convention weekend.

 State Fair of West Virginia

A reminder that the State Fair of West Virginia will take place August 10-19. The State Fair is a major supporter of the WVAFF and we encourage you to attend, in order to support them. But if you can't make it, you can follow events and happenings on their social media accounts by searching for the hashtags below:

  • #sfwv2017
  • #startyourtraditions
