 • Use computer to locate titles of books in classroom libraries of grades 3-5.
• Create labels in sheets of 30 titles.

MULTICULTURAL DAY - FRIDAY, MARCH 3
We are blessed to be part of a culturally diverse school at Dapplegray.  Being educated in a culturally diverse school environment in which every child interacts and learns about the world through the mutual exchange of ideas and viewpoints creates a foundation of respect and ensures that our children are better prepared to operate in a multiethnic, multicultural world.

Recognizing and appreciating diversity helps create an environment where all children feel valued and all children can learn.  Fostering an appreciation of other cultures and ways of life also helps our children forge more meaningful relationships.

In celebration of our diversity, Dapplegray will be hosting Multicultural Day on Friday, March 3, 2017 with the support of Principal Parsons and the PTA.  We currently need volunteers to assist in putting together this amazing event.  If you are interested in hosting a table for your culture/country, please email rituportugal@me.com.  We also need volunteers to help with set up and organization, so please email if you can help in any way.

We look forward to another exciting and educational Multicultural Day!

Thank you and kind regards,
Ritu Portugal & Laynee Tahbo-Baran
