Thank you to the Booster Club for putting on such a unique and fun event with the drive-in event. It was so much fun and so well planned - thank you for putting that together for our families!
Congratulations to the PEF on their successful Main Event!
Given all that we have been through this past year, we are grateful for all of the volunteers for their tireless efforts to create normalcy and engaging activities for all of our families.
There are lot of activities as we head into the final full-month of school. We hope you and your children are able to participate!
Don't forget that this week is Teacher Appreciate Week! Let's make sure our wonderful teachers know how much we appreciate all they've done for our children during this pandemic. They've worked tirelessly to ensure our kids are learning and engaged. We appreciate our amazing Dapplegray Teachers!

TEACHER APPRECIATION THIS WEEK!
 Hello Dapplegray Families!
Teacher appreciation week is May 3-7. The theme is "Thank you for helping us grow and bloom!" We will be asking for your help to make the teachers feel special and greatly appreciated! Here is a rundown of some of our ideas. Please feel free to put in your own creativity and twists!
Monday 5/3- PTA will be providing a continental breakfast for the teachers. Please have the students bring in a thank you note for their teacher Monday morning. Attached is an idea that the parents can print out the Friday before and have the students fill out. (If you are able, and would like to help contribute, sign up genius link is below.)
Tuesday 5/4-Please have the students bring in a flower for the teacher. This can be anywhere from a bouquet, or as simple as one picked from your yard. This simple gesture will have both the kids and teachers beaming!
Wednesday 5/5-Please have the kids wear their teacher's favorite color on zoom. This will also be a "fill your teacher's snack drawer day". We will be sending out a sign up genius for the teacher "vending machine", sponsored by the 1st grade. If you know your teacher's favorite snack, you may have your student bring it to school on Thursday.
Thursday 5/6-PTA will be hosting a luncheon for the teachers and staff, provided by Gaetano's. (If you are able, and would like to help contribute, sign up genius link is here.) Also, if you know your teacher's favorite snack, you may have your child bring it to school today to "fill the teachers snack drawer".
Friday 5/7-PTA will be proving a dessert bar. Please have your child bring a picture or painting for the teacher. Attached in an idea that the parents can print out, have your child complete, and bring in to the teacher. (If you are able, and would like to help contribute, sign up genius link is here.) Let's take this opportunity to show the wonderful teachers and staff at Dapplegray how much we appreciate them not only teaching, but helping our kids develop and bloom!

BOOSTER CLUB THANK YOU!The Dapplegray Booster Club would like to send a huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to several of our amazing parents for organizing and executing a fantastic Drive-in Movie Night.
From securing sponsorships, dressing up in costume, and creating snack buckets to manning the ticket booth and creating the preshow entertainment, we had a really supportive team of parents who worked endlessly to make our Drive-in Movie night a night to remember for everyone.

PEF UPDATEThank you to everyone who supported the PEF Main Event. Dapplegray families contributed by purchasing party packs, talented students performing virtually during the event and bidding in the auction. Once we have more information on funds raised we will let you know.

ARTS ALIVEWould you like to be a part of the Arts Alive Opening Ceremony at 9am on May 12? Send in a video of you and your family dancing (to any music or none at all!) to dgartsalive@gmail.com. Videos should be of kids/families dancing for no longer than 10-15 seconds. Thank you!
