February 22, 2021
As February nears an end, we are excited that our hybrid students are coming back on campus. We are grateful to Mrs. Stutzel, our teachers and staff members who have been working so hard to get the campus ready to welcome students back to campus safely.
It takes everyone to do their part to continue the safe return of students. Please make sure you are following district guidelines and share expectations with your children.
As a reminder - here are upcoming dates:
March 8th- Hybrid 3rd graders will be returning to campus. March 15th- Hybrid 4th and 5th graders will be returning to campus.
If you are picking up classroom materials, please do not come to campus to pick them up between the times of 10:45am-12:30pm and 2:15-3:15. This is the time when there is heavy traffic for pickup and drop off .

Dapplegray Multicultural Day is coming back……VIRTUALLY for the first time! We are so excited to announce to you that Dapplegray Elementary School will be hosting Virtual Multicultural Day on Wednesday, March 17th, 2021, from 1-3pm.
We are looking for volunteers who can share their own traditions and cultures.
Dapplegray parents or family members have two options to join in on the fun:
1) An interactive Zoom session where students can log in to learn about your family's culture. The Zoom sessions need only be 5-10 minutes long and we ask that you schedule at least four short zooms to allow different groups of students to log in and learn from you.OR 2) A pre-recorded video of about 5 minutes long which will need to be emailed to the committee the week before the event. Your child(ren) are of course welcome to be in the video with you!
We ask that the interactive zoom or pre-recorded video include as much of the following information as possible:- Country or Culture's general information (name, capital, flag, landmark, brief history)
- Some easy words in native language (Hello, Goodbye, and Thank you….)
- Famous or favorite cooking recipe, games, songs, or dance
- Holidays you celebrate in your culture or country
- Unique customs observed, especially at home
If you would like to be a part of this wonderful event, please contact natsuhaga@gmail.com. We will be contacting you for a meeting to discuss the day more in detail.
