We are also in the midst of helping Quil Ceda Tulalip Elementary PTA get set up. They are in their Charter period and then will become a PTA in the next month!

March 1st is tomorrow!
Many of you are probably thinking, "No duh, Tori, we can see that on the calendar." However, I wanted to remind those of you who are trying to submit different awards, to get them in by tomorrow. If you're like me, the past month has flown by! I'll be working on my Leadership Academy additions tonight. Here are the different items to be submitted:
- Membership Award applications (100% Membership & 100% Staff) due
- WSPTA Essay Contest submissions due
- Leadership Academy applications due
- Local PTA, Community, and Council Awards of Excellence submissions due
- WSPTA scholarship applications due

This is also the time of year when all of you are beginning your elections for next year's officers. Nominating Committees are probably publicly posting their selections (can be more than one per office if more than one applicant is qualified), and you're ready for your meetings. If you have questions about elections, Nominating Committees, etc. please let me or your Council leaders know. We look forward to seeing as many of you at Convention in May as possible! It's a great way to get training for next year's elected officers for smooth transitions.
Hope all is going well in your area. Please feel free to share your successes and let me know if you have any questions. I want to give a HUGE thank you to Edmonds Council for inviting my husband and me to your Comedy Night fundraiser. It was spectacular and so much fun!!! What a great idea to bring your community together and raise funds for your kids. I've been seeing so many fantastic events on your Facebook pages and look forward to attending as I'm able. This can be the time when we're all a little worn out, so hang in there, you're doing great!
