THE WAXAHACHIE CHAUTAUQUA!



Chautauqua Assembly begins at 9'oclock by exclaiming with Old-Fashioned Singers  “All Are Welcome Here!” Promptly at 9am on Saturday, the singing group will kick off the Chautauqua Assembly’s daylong celebration of Public Spaces with old-time gospel songs.
 
The weather forecast is perfect!  High of 85 degrees, sunny all day, and 0% chance of rain! 


Purchase the official book of the National September 11 Memorial and have it signed by Allison Blais, keynote speaker and co-author of the book "A Place of Remembrance."

Trash Can Transformation will be taking place all day at Chautauqua.  See student-designed and painted trash cans from both Waxahachie and Ennis ISDs.  Also see artists at work on their cans!

Hungry?   Coffee and breakfast items available from Tommy's food truck beginning at 7:30am!  So have some breakfast and wake up with at Chautauqua!  Sandwiches and salads from "My Sister's Affair" coming at lunchtime.

David Smith and his Waxahachie poem will be there tomorrow!    David will be performing his wonderful new poem "Waxahachie Chautauqua: 26 July, 1900" as part of the Opening Ceremonies at 9:30am. Missed it on July 26? Now's your chance!

Birds of Prey are back!  If you've missed them lately, be there at noon tomorrow.



Two "Water Filling Stations"  will be provided by H-E-B on the Chautauqua grounds tomorrow.  Also, handsome cobalt blue water bottles/souvenirs are available for a donation of $3.00. 

It's a full day of programs and exhibits. We'll see you at Chautauqua!
