Soleado Families,

This weekend is our Virtual Fun Run! Thank you to our Booster Club for all of the effort you have put into making our first ever Virtual Fun Run the best it can be! 

Spring Break

Spring Break is the week of March 29th. We have a minimum day on Friday, March 26 with all students learning online from 8:30-11:15 AM. While we understand we have all spent the past year in quarantine, we ask that our Soleado families still avoid unnecessary out of state travel and follow health and safety protocols. If travel is necessary, please know we expect all families and employees to follow the LACDPH Travel Advisory and Guidance below:

All persons arriving in or returning to the County of Los Angeles from other states or countries must self-quarantine for 10 days after arrival, except as necessary to meet urgent critical healthcare staffing needs or to otherwise engage in emergency response. 

If you will be traveling out of state and will be quarantining, please let the office and your child’s teacher know so that we can prepare work for your child for any days he/she will not be at school.

Drop-Off, Pick-Up and Curbside Meal Service
Thank you to everyone for your patience and cooperation during drop-off, pick-up and curbside meal service. As a reminder, students should not exit your vehicle at drop-off time until a staff member comes to your car to check your “green screen”. If for any reason you were unable to access the daily BCHD COVID Screener, you can answer the questions on the back of your car name placard and show us the green screen on the back of the placard when you arrive. As a reminder: 

AM Drop Off Time – 8:20-8:30 M/T/Th/F
PM Drop Off Time – 12:05-12:15 M/T/Th/F

Please remember to keep this name placard in your passenger side front window when you come to pick up your children. This allows us to efficiently load cars along the curb when you arrive.
If you are picking up a meal during AM pick-up or PM drop-off, and did not get your meal by the time your child enters your car, please remain in the pick-up/drop-off line along the curb, until you reach the area near the entrance to the MPR, where a staff member will hand you the daily meals.
DLA and Independent Study families can continue to pick up meals at any of the five secondary school sites between 11:00 AM-1:00 PM.

School Spirit DayFriday, March 26. Wear your school colors, t-shirt, hat or whatever you have to show your school spirit! 

Please remember that masks must be worn at all times while on campus, including in the drop-off/pick-up line for our Hybrid students who have returned to campus.

 Booster News

 The Soleado Fun Run (Virtual Edition) is this weekend! Exercise with your family and support Soleado!  

We are so close! If we raise another $2,060 by 03/28/2021 we will meet our goal of $15,000! By meeting our goal we can make sure that Soleado is well-funded for our on & off campus programs. So far, our average donation amount is $56 and if 39 more families match that, we will make it to our goal. Can you help us meet our goal?

There is still time to donate before 03/28/2021! Visit the Get Movin' website to view the Leaderboard, incentives, and SHARE your child's private page with your family and friends. It is easy and allows them to support your child and our school! 

Remember to take a photo of your child wearing their Fun Run t-shirt during the optional Training Week. 
Email it to by 03/22/2021 for inclusion in the Soleado Fun Run 2021 Slideshow. Please remember to include your child's name, grade level, and teacher in your email. (NOTE: By submitting a photo, you are giving permission to include it in the Soleado Fun Run Slideshow which will be shared with our Soleado families. Student names will not be included in the slideshow.)

For our DLA and Independent Studies families, the last chance to pickup your child's Fun Run T-shirt at Soleado is 03/26/2021! Remember that our Hybrid students are back on campus, so to avoid drop-off/pick-up the best time for DLA/ISP families to pick up your t-shirt is on Monday, between 10:45-11:45 AM or 2:30-4:00 PM or between 8:00 AM-4:00 PM on Wednesday. 

Incentives will be distributed in class starting 04/07/2021 for our Hybrid students who are back on campus and available for pickup starting 04/07/2021 for DLA and Independent Study students.
