Questions or Comments: | Principal's Message  Soleado Families, I hope you all enjoyed your week off.First trimester report cards will be available for you to see on the Aeries Portal by the end of the day, Monday, November 30. With the opening of school in remote learning, some of the Essential Learner Behaviors are not measurable in a distance learning environment. As a result, some of the learning behavior areas have been grayed out. Optional programs such as music have also been grayed out and your child’s teacher can give you more specific information regarding progress. Please reach out to your child’s teachers should you have questions or need more specific reporting for your child for this first trimester.

Scroll down to the very bottom video titled, "Finding an Official Grade Report".Tuesday, December 1 – Thursday, December 3 will be minimum days for all students to allow teachers to have parent conferences in the afternoon. Both AM and PM Cohorts will attend class on these days from 8:30-11:15. If you have not already done so, please contact your child’s teacher to schedule a parent conference. Wednesday, December 2 is Crazy Sock Day – Wear your favorite comfy, cozy, crazy socks!  Please see below for an opportunity to participate in our Soleado Holiday Slideshow. Although we cannot meet in person for our traditional All School Holiday Sing, the Soleado PTA will be creating a fun holiday slideshow for our Soleado Suns! Email any photos you have of your students in their holiday attire to soleadoptapresident@gmail.com. Sparkly Santa hats? Ugly sweaters? Antler headbands? We welcome anything and everything holiday related. Deadline to email photos is Monday, December 7th.

Notice of Change to Soleado PTA Bylaws Our bylaw changes were approved by the Soleado PTA Executive Board and signed by the California State PTA on 11/1/20. All entries must be submitted via email by Wednesday, December 16 and will be showcased in the Soleado Sunblast. Parents and students will be able to pick up a treat outside the office on Wednesday, December 16th for participating.

This week, we continue with the 1st lesson "Apple for Teacher". Please note the dates and times below:
2nd Grade - Dec 2nd - 8:45 - 10 AM
3rd Grade - Dec 1st - 10:00 - 11:15 AM
4th Grade - Dec 2nd - 8:45 - 10:00 AM
5th Grade - Dec 2nd - 10:00 - 11:15 AM
The lessons will be taught online by a docent to the entire grade which includes both DLA and Hybrid students. Please have the supplies needed for this lesson ready:
- White sheet of paper - cardstock or drawing paper
- Pencil & eraser
- Black Sharpie/felt tip pen/ball point pen
- Optional - Watercolor, crayons, colored pencils
