| Remembering Siobhan Scott

The Wiseburn Education Foundation would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family of Siobhan Scott, and to the many people in the Wiseburn Community who will miss her dearly.
Siobhan's unparalleled commitment to our children and our schools was a constant in our community. Siobhan loved each and every one of our children and our Wiseburn teachers. She shared that love through her work ethic, her volunteerism, and through her boundless joy when she was around our children. Siobhan gave her time and effort for countless WEF events over the span of more than 15 years, and she did so without expecting or wanting any recognition in return. She truly had the heart of a volunteer. Siobhan has showed us all what it means to "show up" for our children, day after day, year after year. Our WEF events will not be the same without her laughter, her infectious sense of humor, and her unending willingness to roll up her sleeves and volunteer. The WEF Board will miss Siobhan very much, and we join the Wiseburn Community's in grieving her passing and celebrating her life.
There will be a community event to honor Siobhan on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at The Lakes at El Segundo (400 S Sepulveda Blvd, El Segundo, CA 90245), and all are welcome. |

| Help WEF meet our 2018-19 fundraising goal! Please support our spring fundraising drive and make your contribution today.
Have a graduating Kinder, 8th or 12th grade student? Make a contribution in their name to support them and future students. We suggest $150 per enrolled student to help support our visual and performing arts as well as STEAM-based programming across the Wiseburn Unified School District. Every donation of $150 or more is eligible for a WEF yard sign to show your school and community pride.

Does your employer have a matching gift program? Make your donation go further by giving today. Join us on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 4th & 5th at the Wiseburn-Da Vinci High School at 6:30pm for the Spring Music Showcase. Admission is free and open to all WUSD families and community members. Due to the change in venue, food and refreshments will not be provided at this year's event. Direct donations can be made to WEF to support our music programs at the event.

| WEF was proud to support the purchase of leveled readers across all grade levels at Juan Cabrillo Elementary School this year. Students from the school were invited to a meeting of the Wiseburn School Board to teach everyone about small reading group instruction and the impact it has had on their learning. We look forward to supporting more classroom innovation in the next school year. |
