• Reflections - HEROES AROUND ME • Entry Deadline is Friday, October 19th!Reflections 2018-2019 is in full swing! Please encourage your child to explore the artist within and submit an entry for this year's contest theme: HEROES AROUND ME. All students are invited to reflect on this theme and create original works of art in the categories of dance choreography, film production, music composition, literature, photography, and visual arts.
All entries must be submitted by Friday, October 19, 2018. • Red Ribbon Week • October 22nd-26th We are thrilled to announce the 2018 National Red Ribbon Week theme: Life Is Your Journey, Travel Drug Free.™ During this nationally celebrated week, Silver Spur's PTA will educate youth with an assembly, speakers and activities focused on the value of living a healthy and drug-free lifestyle! We would appreciate your support at home in efforts to present a unified and visible commitment towards the creation of a heathy, drug-free America!• Halloween Parade • Wednesday, October 31st @ 1:30pm Bring your cameras and watch your little cuties parade around in their Halloween costumes out on the blacktop!
Parents...children may go home after the parade—but please sign them out from their classroom.• Spirit Wear • Final distribution of Spirit Wear T-shirts will be given to students in the classroom this week.
