Birding 101: A Beginner’s Guide to Birding
(1.5 hours – SAS Nature Center, garden, and Celery Fields boardwalk) –
Instructor: Jamie Rotenberg

This comprehensive course covers essential birdwatching skills, including identifying birds in the field using sight and sound, choosing and using binoculars, introductions to utilizing birding tools such as field guides, Merlin, and eBird, and learning birding etiquette. Additionally, a brief overview of the common local bird species is provided.

This beginner-friendly course is open to anyone interested in birding, particularly those with limited or no experience. 

Limit: 15-20 participants
