The Sapphire Leadership Institute is held biannually to assist all undergraduate members who are interested in learning more about leadership. This program allows participants to practice their own leadership skills in preparation for their growing role as chapter leaders. Each chapter/colony is expected to send four members to this a three-day residential learning experience.
Learning Outcomes:
- Understand leadership types and styles
- Develop and improve leadership skills
- Gain a perspective for the future and that of the organization
- Identify that a member can lead the chapter with or without a position or title
- Develop friendships with other brothers that can also serve as future resources and connections
- Create a relationship with a mentor that assists participants through challenge and learning during and after the program.
Information & Fees
This year's Sapphire Leadership Institute will be held at Camp Allegheny in Stoystown, Pennsylvania (Same location as Foundations Institute). Each chapter will be invoiced for four members to attend at $1600. Additional members may attend for an additional $300/member. Registrations and payment are due by May 1, 2019. Registration covers all materials, meals and lodging. Chapters are responsible for their own travel. Attendees will arrive by 2pm on Thursday, June 6th and we will wrap-up by noon on Saturday, June 8th.
