Having problems with an agency, school,  employer? Disability Rights California may be able to help. Learn how this great organization can assist you. Join us on June 15th for Securing Legal Backup and Support with Rebecca Hoyt, Disability Rights California, Legal Advocacy Unit, Client Assistance Program Advocate. This presentation will help you understand the Disability Rights California Services.

About Disability Rights California Services
Disability Rights California (DRC) is the largest nonprofit legal services organization for people with disabilities in the country.  DRC advocates, educates, investigates and litigates to advance the rights, dignity, equal opportunities, and choices for all people with disabilities.  DRC helps people with disabilities at all stages of life to access the services they need for their health, independence, educational and employment goals.  In this session you will learn how DRC can help you enjoy the power of equal rights and opportunities; dignity and respect for your choices based on your own goals and values.

About the Speaker
Rebecca Hoyt is a Senior Advocate with the Client Assistance Program at Disability Rights California.  She joined DRC in 2007 and has over fifteen years of advocacy experience on behalf of people with disabilities and other underserved populations.  Rebecca has a background in special education advocacy, gang intervention, and advocacy on behalf of youth in the dependency and delinquency systems.  In her current role, she serves clients and applicants of the Department of Rehabilitation and Independent Living Centers to achieve their employment goals and exercise their rights under state and federal law.  She works to preserve and advance the employment opportunities of people with disabilities through direct representation of clients, systemic advocacy and by fostering self-advocacy skills.

The meeting starts at 7:00pm, and is free to individuals and families dealing with AS, HFA or PDD-NOS, but reservations are required.

Judith Uttal is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
