Introduction to VA: Healthcare Services and Benefits

Steve Johanns is a Transition Patient Advocate (TPA) with the Minneapolis VA Health Care System. Steve is a 10 year Army Veteran who has worked at the VA for the past 24 years. Steve initially worked in various Administrative positions prior to transitioning into his current role of Transition Patient Advocate (TPA) with the Post 9/11 Transition and Care Management Program. While the Post 9/11 TCM program focuses on outreach, engagement, and case management with Post 9/11 era Veterans, Steve works will all Veterans to assist in getting them connected to their VA Benefits through education and outreach in the community, assisting with VA forms, and providing benefits briefings.

• PLEASE pre-register by 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 15th (by doing so, you will be you pre-registered on the security list and it will help organizers plan for enough space and food).
• At the event: when you arrive, sign-in at Cargill Security Bldg 9320.

• if you are NOT a veteran or dependent, a donation of $25 donation is requested (please note that only meeting expenses for veterans and their immediate family members are supported by a grant from the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs)
• networking begins at 5:30PM with food and beverage service (includes a splendid buffet presented by Cargill's in-house caterer, Sodexo)
• program begins promptly at 6:00PM
• networking continues with "Needs and Leads" upon conclusion of program
