The Joseph A. Pavelka Memorial Scholarship was created to remember one of our most loyal brothers, Joe Pavelka. Brother Pavelka was a 1934 initiate of the Gamma Beta Chapter at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. He lived in the Washington, DC area and served for over 30 years as Treasurer and President of the NCAAA until he passed away in 1994. Brother Pavelka was the founder and chairman of Pi Kappa Alpha's Congressional Founder's Day and was Pike's Loyalty Award recipient in 1992.
The Pavelka Memorial Fund awards one or more scholarships annually to undergraduates completing an internship in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area who demonstrate qualities of a Scholar, Leader, Athlete, and Gentleman. This Fund is designed to encourage and support undergraduate Pikes to continue their education through qualified and reputable internships in and around our Nation's Capital.
The Joseph A. Pavelka Jr. Memorial Scholarship was endowed through the Pi Kappa Alpha Foundation with the generous support of Pike Alumni in the DMV. MAKE YOUR GIFT TODAY!
