Welcome! As everyone in the Montlake Elementary community knows, our school is a small, nurturing, and mind-expanding place with incredible teachers and staff.  You may also be aware that public schools are not fully funded by the state or by local tax levies. 
 
The Montlake PTA has historically raised funds to cover this gap and pay for teachers, staff, programs, and families-in-need here as well as the wider community. We do this through fundraising activities, the largest of which is our Annual Fund each fall.
 
This year our target for the Annual Fund is $100,000. The total fundraising goal for the year is $200,000, approximately $25,000 of which has already come in from Husky Parking, additional matching funds from the Spring Campaign and more. We also plan to have a fundraiser in the spring of 2022 to raise the remaining funds needed.



We are all full members of this community regardless of donation amounts.  We understand that not all in our community can afford to give, but if you are able, please consider those that can’t when you make your donation. Please encourage your families, friends and neighbors to support Montlake! We are one community and all in this together.  



It is important to be aware that individual PTAs raising funds for their schools is not equitable.  Montlake PTA will be leading advocacy efforts to improve funding for all schools, as all schools have needs that are not being met.  This year when you donate to the Annual Fund, you also have the option to donate to Montlake PTA’s Equity Fund.  All donations to this fund will then be distributed to schools that do not have PTAs that raise funds for their schools:  Lowell Elementary and SE Seattle Schools Fundraising Alliance.
