2019-2020 MPPTSA Annual Fundraising Campaign

Every year the MPPTSA assesses where money should be spent in a yearly budget review and makes modifications to accommodate our needs. This year we have increased our budget in the following ways:

Parent Education–We are finally fulfilling an interest that our membership has long had to offer parent education classes on topics that affect us all.

Art Docent–This popular program provides parents and other caregivers the opportunity to regularly volunteer at Meridian Park in a way that is beneficial for more than just their student. Without a formal art curriculum the art docents provide an important and necessary experience and one that we are committed to putting more money toward.

Camp Orkila–MPPTSA has always given funds to help 6th graders attend camp. This bonding experience is now extended to 5th graders in this transition year to the new middle school model. With two grades going to camp our obligation to help ALL students be able to attend camp is an important increase in our budget.

The MPPTSA continues to be committed to all of Meridian Park’s families, students, teachers, and staff. If you are coming to us from another school for just one year for kindergarten or to participate in the hi-cap program, we invite you to donate because you are also a Cheetah.

If everyone donated just $50, then we could fulfill all of our obligations for 2019-2020. Of course you can always donate more or less!

Let’s keep it simple!

Other schools might ask you to sell something from a fundraising vendor that takes a huge percentage for themselves. There’s usually a complicated prize structure to get kids excited about selling unexciting things like wrapping paper. Then you are the one stuck running around collecting money and making deliveries.

Instead of asking you to do the running around, we just ask you to donate what you can. The only thing we ask is that you share our fundraising campaign with those you would have asked to buy something. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, etc. You and your loved ones can easily donate here.

Microsoft, Starbucks, Boeing, and Alaska Airlines all match their employees donations to nonprofits like ours. Check to see if your employer has a matching program and double the impact of your donation.

For every donation you make you will be entered to win a gift certificate from Ohana Restaurant owned by Meridian Park’s own Yoshimura Family. Ohana has two locations: Belltown and Issaquah. Winners will be contacted by December 1st.
Every donor will receive a Cheetah Spot keychain thank-you gift.

Your donation is tax deductible! The Meridian Park Elementary PTSA is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Meridian Park Family Association Tax Id # 91-1609258
