DPhiE Phi Lamdba - Eat to Beat Cystic Fibrosis 2017

The sisters of Delta Phi Epsilon at Emory University will be hosting their third annual Eat to Beat Cystic Fibrosis Food Truck Festival on October 20th, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm in Asbury Circle. There will be food trucks, desserts, and carnival games. Our special guest of the evening will be Desi, a two-year-old fighting Cystic Fibrosis and the inspiration for our event. Desi must constantly be eating in order for her body to process the nutrients she needs to live. She is currently receiving treatment from CHOA and Emory, which hosts the one of the largest CF clinics in the nation. Yet, she and other children are anxious for a cure to be found....

Cystic Fibrosis, a genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system, was virtually unknown to the general population until 1955. It was then that a group of parents formed CFF to be the driving force in pursuit of a cure. One of those parents was Phyllis Kossoff, a sister of Delta Phi Epsilon, Delta Chapter at Hunter College

In 1967, Phyllis came to Convention and shared her endeavors, resulting in the partnership our sisters so passionately support today. Delta Phi Epsilon has donated over $1 million to research in hopes of making CF stand for Cure Found. Every year our chapter hold events and raises money for this foundation that is so close to our heart. Your donation today will directly go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and help researchers find a cure.

Thank you so much for your help and support!
