Host Housing Support Program

The Host Housing Support Program provides financial assistance to households offering housing to individuals and families displaced by the Maui wildfires. During the initial phase of this pilot program, qualifying host households can receive financial support of $375 per person each month, depending on the size of the displaced family they are accommodating. Hosts may receive a monthly stipend of up to $1,500, which can be extended for up to 6 months.

This program is funded by the American Red Cross, the Hawaiʻi Community Foundation, and the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement, in partnership with Maui County.
