Giving Tuesday the Hawaiian Way

Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of pepole and organizations to transform their communities and the world. As an organization which aims to uplift lahui by partnering with our member organizations, we at CNHA are asking you to join us in this Hawaiian Way Tuesday campaign!

By donating to the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement, you will help to strengthen hundreds of ohana that rely on a multitude of services and programs provided by the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement.

Thanks to the generous support from the Coulter Foundation every dollar donated will be matched 1:1 for the next 24 hours. Mahalo nui for your kokua!

As the year draws to a close, CNHA has stepped in to provide support to ohana through these uncertain times:

- Our Kahiau and Ho‘ala Community Assistance Programs have assisted over 3,400 residents and disbursed over $10 million dollars to help families get through the pandemic;

- The Pop-Up Makeke has brought income to over 400 Hawai?i small and micro businesses. To date, the Pop-Up Makeke has put over $1.5 million dollars into the pockets of these hard hit businesses;

- The Ku Hana Business Program has provided guidance and support to dozens of businesses;
Our Hawaiian Trades Academy has helped hundreds of residents gain skills and certifications to enter the workforce to earn livable wages;

- Our Loan Fund has disbursed over $2 million dollars this year to individuals and families needing access to capital;

- We raised over $130,000 to support 'Iolani Palace as it struggled to cover its basic needs.
