INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana — Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity has awarded the Iota Chapter at the University of Denver with the 2016 Brummer Cup for Best Chapter on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at the 2016 International Convention in Atlanta, Georgia.

Iota Chapter undergraduate and alumni brothers in attendance at the Grand Awards Banquet on July 23, 2016. The Iota Chapter was honored with several awards at 2016 International Convention in Atlanta, Georgia.

Iota has been among the top chapters in all of Zeta Beta Tau for several years. The chapter stands out for its commitment to education, brotherhood, operational success, Ritual and the Credo, and still chapter leadership was able to demonstrate great improvement in the 2015-2016 school year. The chapter has more than 100 brothers. The chapter leadership is unquestionably committed to the growth and success of all brothers, the campus community, alumni of ZBT and antecedent groups, the Jewish community and ZBT as a whole.

"The Iota Chapter is a true leader at the University of Denver and within ZBT. The group's commitment to the ideals of our Fraternity are unmatched," said International President Norman M. Waas, Esq., Alpha Omega (University of Miami) '82. "Year in and year out, Iota has been a leader of our Fraternity. The brothers and our chapter advisors are to be commended for showing us all what it means to be a brotherhood for a lifetime
."

The Brummer Cup takes its name from the highest honor given to a chapter of Phi Sigma Delta Fraternity, which merged with Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity in 1969.

"On behalf of the alumni and advisors of Iota Chapter, we are thrilled that after nearly a decade of being one of ZBT's top chapters that Iota has once again won the Brummer Cup," said Past International President Stephen P. Ehrlich, Esq., Iota (University of Denver) '70, long-time chapter advisor to Iota. "The pursuit of excellence has always been a hallmark of the chapter. The undergraduates should be proud of this well-deserved honor, but more importantly of the effort they make every day to live their lives in accordance with our Ritual and Credo."
